The Personal plan - the cheapest Website plan

The Personal plan places limitations on the number of pages, products, and contributors you can have on your site and how much storage and bandwidth you can use.

The Personal plan includes all of the standard features listed previously, with the following limitations:

  • A maximum of 20 pages on your site
A total of 20 pages may not seem like enough, especially if you want to have a blog or news section on your site. However, Squarespace does not count individual posts in this 20 page limit; your blog as a whole counts as only one page. You might be surprised to learn that certain Squarespace "pages" are actually made up of multiple sub-pages. Long scrolling Index pages made up of different horizontal strips are actually multiple pages stacked on top of each other, so this is something to bear in mind. We will explain this in more detail in the next chapter.
  • You can have a maximum of two contributors (for example, authors or shopkeepers) with access to the site's administration area
  • Squarespace will charge a 3% sales transaction fee for all sales or donations

The Personal plan is suitable for small businesses that don't have a lot of content and don't need to sell goods or services online. It's also fine for nonprofit organizations or companies who have low volumes of goods and services to sell, since the 3% fee may not hurt the bottom line too much. However, if you will be doing heavy sales or shifting low volumes of high-priced items, you might want to consider a higher subscription level to reduce the percentage that Squarespace takes off your transactions and to access greater sales tools.
